Kristina Comer is a Registered Dietitian currently working as a Clinical Dietitian at University of Colorado Hospital. Her initial interest in nutrition started at the University of Georgia where she received her undergraduate degree in Dietetics. She then pursued and received a Master’s in Sports Nutrition at UCCS in Colorado Springs. After matching to Children’s Hospital Dietetic Internship, she switched gears into the clinical realm of nutrition and completed the Adult Acute Care internship, mostly at UCHealth.
Specializing in solid organ transplant, she has seen a variety of chronic diseases in all stages, but mostly end-stage organ failure requiring transplant. After seeing how much lifestyle choices can impact individual’s health, she is excited to begin helping others use “food as medicine” to heal and prevent chronic disease.
With a background in ballet, she also enjoys instructing fitness classes at Xtend Barre and inspiring those around her to live a healthy life. In her free time she loves to run, hike, ski, and explore the outdoors.
Kristina is excited to be a part of Abundant Life Kitchens using Integrative and Functional Nutrition to explore a more holistic approach to health.
